DETAILLED SCOUTING METHODOLOGY :

1. Definition

  • Defining the targets, topics and aims: scope of the brief with a clear vision of the client  potential market, clients and needs.

  • Clarification regarding solutions category: stage of development/patent requirements/etc.

  • Focus: Real added value, emerging & innovative tech.

  • Deliverables : detailed brief, arrangements of collaboration and budget 

 

2. Sourcing

  • Market scanning and research based on our relations with leading Israeli VCs, incubators, high tech journalists, academic technology centers (T3 of Technion, Yissum of Jerusalem University, Ramot of TAU).

  • Network of Israeli entrepreneurs and technology leaders and CEOs.

 

3. Collecting

  • Seeding the detailed brief to all the sources + live or phone conferences to precise the scope and the stakes of the mission

  • Collection of data through a complete dashboard (criteria to define with the client ahead of the mission)

 

4. Selection

  • Filtering, analyzing, selecting, interpreting techno collected : detailled analyse of the techno, of the business model and of the current development of the techno / start up on international markets / or potential patent.

  • Iterative selection with the client, in order to be sure to select relevant & complementary technologies.

  • Evaluation & final choice of the technos.

 

5. Negotiation 

  • Analyze the potential relationships between the entrepreneurs and the client.

  • Preliminary commercial negotiation in order to prepare the background for future deals 

  • Deliverable : final dashboard of the selected technos / startups / patents + arrangements deal

 

6. Meetings

  • Organization of 1, 2 or 3 days trip in Israel in order to meet and deal with the selected start ups.

  • Pitch preparation with the selected startups in order to have standard presentations and visions to the client to compare and decide.

  • Deliverable : follow up of the meetings and closed deals (licensing, investment...)
